Alphaville es una banda alemana de Synth pop y new wave que fue muy popular en la década de 1980. Sus canciones más populares fueron Big in Japan, Sound Like a Melody y Forever Young, todas contenidas en su álbum debut y Forever Young de 1984.

La historia de Alphaville, cuyo nombre inicial era Forever Young, comienza en Münster, Alemania, a principios de la década de 1980. La banda se formó en 1982 con tres miembros clave: Marian Gold (voz principal), Bernhard Lloyd (teclados y coros) y Frank Mertens (teclados y percusión). Inspirados por la creciente escena musical electrónica de la época, y artistas como Kraftwerk y David Bowie, la banda se aventuró a crear su propio sonido. Aunque alcanzó la cima de su popularidad en la década de 1980, la banda ha continuado creando música y realizando giras a lo largo de los años. La història de Alphaville, el nom inicial de la qual era Forever Young, comença en Münster, Alemanya, a principis de la dècada de 1980. La banda es va formar en 1982 amb tres membres clau: Marian Gold (veu principal), Bernhard Lloyd (teclats i cors) i Frank Mertens (teclats i percussió). Alphaville is a German synth pop and new wave band that was very popular in the 1980s. Their most popular songs were "Big in Japan", "Sound Like a Melody" and "Forever Young", all contained on their debut album and "Forever Young" from 1984.

The story of Alphaville, whose initial name was Forever Young, begins in Münster, Germany, in the early 1980s. The band was formed in 1982 with three key members: Marian Gold (lead vocals), Bernhard Lloyd (keyboards and backing vocals) and Frank Mertens (keyboards and percussion). Inspired by the growing electronic music scene of the time, and artists such as Kraftwerk and David Bowie, the band ventured out to create their own sound. 

Although it reached the height of its popularity in the 1980s, the band has continued to create music and tour over the years. Marian Gold, the founding member and lead vocalist, remains a charismatic figure on the music scene, and Alphaville's music continues to be appreciated by a wide audience around the world.

Die Geschichte von Alphaville, deren ursprünglicher Name Forever Young war, beginnt in Münster, Deutschland, in den frühen 1980er Jahren. Die Band wurde 1982 mit drei Hauptmitgliedern gegründet: Marian Gold ( Hauptgesang), Bernhard Lloyd ( Keyboard und Backgroundgesang) und Frank Mertens (Keyboard und Perkussion).
